At P&D Builders, our work extends beyond the four corners of your lot. As partners of the community, we aim to be active participants in helping our neighborhoods grow! Check out some of our community partnerships below and how we are making a difference within our city.
When ABC Studios reached out with a call for help, P&D answered. The Rhodes family had given so much to their community and it was time for the community to give back. Tasked with demolishing their old home and building a new one for the Rhodes family, our team was up to the challenge. With the abundance of help from community volunteers and donors, P&D was able to make the impossible happen. We spent weeks planning and preparing for the final day when we "moved that bus". After all the hard work and preparation, P&D was able to successfully demolish, build, and furnish a brand new home for the Rhodes family within 4 days.
P&D Builders is proud to support Bluefish Swim School at The Ohio State University. Bluefish Swim School is an organization at The Ohio State University devoted to providing free weekly one-on-one swim activities to children with developmental disabilities in the Columbus area. Bluefish, which is 100% volunteer-based through Ohio State students, has recruited 89 instructors and has successfully served 74 Central Ohio families (and counting!). These swim activities provide a valuable opportunity for children with developmental disabilities to leave their comfort zones and learn life-saving water safety skills. Fundraising helps the Bluefish organization cover pool rental costs so they can continue to serve the Columbus community.
Mike Paglieri started the Columbus Sand Soccer Festival in 2017 after his kids participated in a similar event and had a blast. The family-friendly event, held on the banks of Alum Creek State Park beach, is a sand soccer tournament for all ages. Paired with laser tag, live music, and much more, the community looks forward to this event year after year. With the hard work of Mike and countless sponsors, the 2021 event was held on July 17th at no charge for participants and guests!
Every year, the Delaware County Junior Fair presents a livestock and baked goods sale/auction. By bidding and buying at the sales, you are helping to support the positive activities of the youth of the Delaware County community. Projects that are sold at the sales help youth learn time management, responsibility, and how to provide a quality food product for consumers. Participation in the sales also supports Delaware County's agricultural economy, both present and future. We continue our tradition of supporting the Delaware County Junior Fair through bidding on livestock and baked goods every year!
