Energy Star

P&D Builders is proud to announce that we are now a 3.0 ENERGY STAR homebuilder, making your new home more comfortable and reducing utility bills by making your home more energy efficient.

To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet the guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are to be at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code, and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes.

P&D Builders is now complying and building to ENERGY STAR version 3.0. These new building specifications feature 2x6 exterior wall construction with high density fiberglass blown-in insulation.

All of P&D's homes are third-party tested to verify your home's HERS rating. P&D's average rating is 49, well below the new home standard of 100, which translates to substantial energy savings for P&D's clients.
